Wer wir sind?

Unser Festivalkomitee besteht aus einer Gruppe von Personen, die einen Hintergrund in der gewerkschaftlichen, politischen, soziokulturellen und postmigrantisch- diasporischen (Jugend-)Verbandsarbeit haben. Unsere unterschiedlichen Backgrounds und Erfahrungswerte zum Thema Rassismus spiegeln sich in unseren unterschiedlichen Beweggründen wieder gemeinsam ein Festival gegen Rassismus zu organisieren. Gemein haben wir jedoch alle, dass das aktiv Sein und Werden gegen Rassismus sowie das Eintreten für eine demokratische und solidarische Gesellschaft eine Herzensangelegenheit für uns darstellt. Wir möchten insbesondere junge Personen dazu ermutigen, rassismuskritisch zu denken und zu handeln, sich zu diesem Thema auszutauschen und sich zu vernetzen.

Mit unserer Motivation, ein Festival gegen Rassismus zu organisieren, geht eine entsprechende Verantwortung vor allem gegenüber Personen, die von rassistischer Diskriminierung betroffen sind, einher. Deswegen möchten wir transparent machen, welche gesellschaftliche Positionen und Privilegien in unserem Festivalkomitee vorherrschen. Die meisten von uns werden nicht von der Gesellschaft behindert und haben überdurchschnittlich viel Zeit an Bildungsinstitutionen verbringen können, andere haben eine internationale Biographie,sind mit Rassismus konfrontiert und bringen ihre globalen Expertisen ein.

Mit den unterschiedlichen Privilegien und den damit einhergehenden Machtdifferenzen in unserer Gruppe ergibt sich für uns in diesem Kontext ein Reflexions- und Lernprozess, in dem wir selbstkritisch auf die Organisation und Durchführung des Festivals blicken wollen. Da wir jeweils unterschiedlichste Blickwinkel, Erfahrungen und Expertisen einbringen, kommen stetig neue und offene Fragen auf, innere Widerstände und Unstimmigkeiten werden sichtbar und münden in Diskussionen, welche wir als Spiegel vorherrschender gesellschaftlicher Machtverhältnisse verstehen. Dabei erkennen wir all diese Schwierigkeiten als Teil des Prozesses an, in dem wir stetig lernen müssen und wollen, wir Kritik üben und selbst Kritik ausgesetzt sind.

All diese Gedanken schlagen sich auch in der praktischen Umsetzung des Festivals nieder. So erstellten wir bisher ein Awareness-Konzept und ein breites Workshop Angebot zusammen, das verschiedenste Bedarfe, Perspektiven und Erfahrungen mit Rassismus abdecken soll. Was wir damit sagen wollen: Wir wissen um unsere eigene Involviertheit in rassistische Strukturen und sind uns der Pflicht bewusst, die mit unserem Handeln einhergeht. Unser Anspruch an das Festival liegt darin, unsere Sichtbarkeit zu nutzen, um ein öffentliches Zeichen gegen Rassismus zu setzen. Wir möchten auf ungleiche Strukturen aufmerksam machen und zur Diversitätswertschätzung und transkulturellen Öffnung beitragen.

Who we are?

Our festival committee consists of a group of people with different backgrounds in unionistic, political, socio-cultural and postmigrant-diasporic (youth)association work. Our different backgrounds and experiences pertaining to racism are reflected in our different motives for organizing a festival against racism together. What we all have in common, however, is that being active and getting active against racism as well as advocating for a democratic and solidary society is a matter of the heart for all of us. We specifically want to encourage young people to think and act critically relating to racism and to discuss and network regarding the topic.

With our motivation for organizing a festival against racism comes a certain responsibility – especially for people who are impacted by racialized discrimination. For that reason, we want to be transparent about the societal positions and privileges that are prevalent within our festival committee. Most of us are not handicapped by society and have spent above average time at educational institutions. Others have an international biography, are confronted with racism and contribute their global expertise.

The various perspectives and their consequential power imbalances within our group result in this context in a reflecting and learning process within which we want to examine the organization and realization of the festival self-critically. Since each of us adds different perspectives, experiences and expertise, new and unanswered questions constantly arise, inner resistances and discrepancies becoming public and lead to discussions which we understand as reflections of societal power structures. We recognize all these difficulties as part of the process, part of which is that we consistently have to and want to learn, voice criticism and are subjected to criticism ourselves.

All these thoughts condense in the practical realization of the festival. So far, we have drafted an awareness concept and a wide array of workshops that is meant to cover various needs, perspectives and experiences regarding racism. What we want to express is that we know about our own involvement in racist structures and we’re aware of the duty that comes with our actions. Our aspiration when it comes to the festival is using our visibility to make a public statement against racism. We want to bring attention to unequal structures and contribute towards an appreciation of diversity and transcultural opening.

Qui sommes-nous ?

Le comité du festival est composé de personnes qui font partie du monde associatif syndical, politique, socioculturel et post-migratoire-diasporique. Nos différents parcours et expériences en matière de racisme se reflètent dans nos motivations à organiser ensemble un festival contre le racisme. Cependant, nous avons tous en commun la même vision que de lutter contre le racisme et de s’engager en faveur d’une société démocratique et solidaire. Nous souhaitons encourager en particulier les jeunes à penser et à agir de manière critique par rapport au racisme, à échanger sur cette thématique et construire des réseaux.

Notre motivation à organiser un festival contre le racisme s’accompagne d’une responsabilité correspondante, en particulier vis-à-vis des personnes victimes de discrimination raciale. C’est pourquoi nous souhaitons être transparents quant aux statuts sociaux et aux privilèges qui prévalent au sein de notre comité de festival. La plupart d’entre nous n’ont pas été discriminés par la société et ont eu l’opportunité de passer plus de temps que la moyenne dans des établissements d’enseignement ; d’autres ont une histoire personnelle internationale, ont été confrontés au racisme et apportent leurs expériences généralistes.

Avec les différents privilèges et les différences de pouvoir qui en découlent au sein du groupe, il en résulte dans ce contexte pour nous un réel un processus de réflexion et d’apprentissage dans lequel nous voulons jeter un regard autocritique sur l’organisation et la réalisation du festival. Dans la mesure où chacun d’entre nous apporte un point de vue, des expériences et des expertises différents, de nouvelles questions surgissent constamment, des résistances et des désaccords internes émergent et conduisent à des discussions, que nous considérons comme le reflet des rapports de force dominants au sein de notre société. Nous estimons que tous ces défis font partie du processus duquel nous devons et voulons apprendre en permanence, exercer notre sens critique et s’exposer aux critiques.

Toutes ces idées se reflètent également dans la mise en œuvre pratique du festival. Jusqu’à présent, nous avons élaboré une campagne de sensibilisation et un large éventail d’ateliers qui répondent aux besoins et attentes ainsi que présentent diverses perspectives et expériences en matière de racisme. En d’autres termes, nous sommes conscients de nos propres implications dans des schémas racistes mais surtout du devoir qui va de pair avec notre action. Notre ambition à travers l’organisation du festival est d’utiliser notre visibilité afin de d’envoyer un signal fort et global contre le racisme. Nous souhaitons attirer l’attention de toute le monde quant aux structures inégalitaires et contribuer à la valorisation de la diversité et à l’ouverture multiculturelle.

لجنة مهرجاننا تتألف من مجموعة أشخاص الذين لديهم خلفية نقابية، سياسية، اجتماعية ثقافية وعملية في تشكيل المجتمع بعد الهجرة وهم بالغالب مجموعة سكانية من عدة أجيال محتفظة بمرتبات موطنها الأصلي. خلفياتنا المختلفة وقيم خبراتنا في موضوع العنصرية تعكس أسباب تحركاتنا المختلفة سوية لتنظيم مهرجان ضد العنصرية. جميعنا يمكنه أن يكون فعالاً وأن يصبح فعالاً ضد العنصرية بالإضافة إلى الانضمام لمجتمع ديمقراطي تضامني منبعه القلب لنا. نريد بشكل خاص تشجيع فئة الشباب للتفكير والتعامل بشكل مناهض للعنصرية وأن يتبادلون الأفكار والصلات في هذا الموضوع.

دوافعنا لتنظيم مهرجان ضد العنصرية، تحتَّم علينا بمقتضى ذلك مسؤولية خاصة امام الأشخاص الذين تعرضوا للتمييز العنصري، لذلك نريد أن نعمل بشفافية، عن ماهية الأوضاع والامتيازات الاجتماعية المنتشرة في لجنة مهرجاننا. الغالبية العظمى فينا لا يتم التضييق عليها من قبل المجتمع ولدينا بشكل فوق المتوسط الكثير من الأشخاص ممن قضى وقتاً كثيراً في مؤسسات تعليمية، وأخرين لديهم سيرة عالمية قد واجهوا العنصرية ويقدمون تقارير خبرتهم العالمية.

مع تعدد الامتيازات المتنوِّعة والمرتبطة بالتالي بالطاقات المختلفة في مجموعتنا يتكوَّن لدينا عملية انعكاس وتعلُّم التي من خلالها نريد أن نتطلَّع بنقد أنفسنا على التنظيم ومجرى المهرجان. لأن كل فرد منَّا يجلب وجهات نظر مختلفة، خبرات وتقارير، تظهر بشكلٍ مستمر أسئلة جديدة منفتحة، الاعتراضات الداخلية والتناقضات تصبح مرئية وتؤدي إلى محاور نقاش، التي تعكس فهمنا لعلاقات القوة المنتشرة مجتمعياً. من خلال ذلك نعترف بكل الصعوبات كجزء من العملية، التي توجب علينا بشكل مستمر إرادة التعلُّم، والتي تدربنا على النقد والتعرض للنقد الذاتي.

كل هذه الأفكار تقلل أيضاً من قيمة التطبيق العملي للمهرجان. لذلك أنشأنا إلى حد الآن نموذج الاستفاقة وتقديم ورشة عمل، التي يجب أن تغطي مختلف الاحتياجات، الاعتبارات والخبرات في موضوع العنصرية.

الذي نريد قوله: نحن نعلم عن تركيبة العنصرية الخاصة المتورطة فينا والواجب علينا واضح، الذي يرتبط بتعاملنا.
تطلعاتنا في المهرجان تستند على الاستفادة من رؤيتنا لنضع علامات علنية ضد العنصرية. نحن نريد جذب الانتباه إلى التركيبة الغير متساوية ونساهم بالانفتاح متعدد الثقافات وتقدير التنوع.
